FIRE WALKING and Walking on Broken Glass
Location - Stede Court Estate, Harrietsham A team of specialists from SURVIVORBILITY came all the way from Taunton to, well, kill us - basically.
To quote from the Survivorbility blurb.......... "A fire walk is the most inspirational journey you will ever undertake. It is as the name suggests: a bare foot walk over red-hot wood embers measuring around 800 degrees. No tricks, no special effects. Just you and the fire. It’s tempting to look at fire walking and explain it with physics. But that's not enough to dispel the primal fear caused by the feeling of intense heat on your face at the edge of the fire pit. Fear is at the centre of the experience, the fear you feel on the brink of a fire walk is incredible – all of your survival instincts are telling you to stay put. Stay where it’s safe. Don’t take the risk!" And for an encore - Four metres of smashed sterile wine bottle glass lie before you, the centrepiece of a glass walking event. You're invited to walk across – could you?
What a load of tosh! It's bloody hot - and it bloody hurts! If you don't believe me then watch this video...
For those of you with decent phones you can see this video on your phone Go to YOUTUBE and search for GASS FIREWALK
Apologies for chickening out were received from Len, Tony, Nick, Chris, Steve R and Ian. To be fair Ian and Len were on holiday
You missed a great night!
We walked across that.
