MARCH MEETING
SAMURAI SWORD DEMONSTRATION
THE UPCHURCH VILLAGE HALL The Street, (behind the Crown Pub) Upchurch, Sittingbourne, ME9 7AJ
A shot from the well known film 'Please Kill Hugh'
Be afraid, be very afraid!
Bill, of Japanese War Drumming fame, brought along his collection of Samurai Swords.
He gave us a very informative talk and then a very convincing demonstration which explained why the Police, when faced with a Samurai sword waving nutter, tend to escalate straight to a bullet through the heart. Sharp is the word. Bill sliced and diced a number of innocent beach mats, as thought they were, well ... beach mats.
He then donned a suit of Japanese Samurai armour and dispatched a few more passing beach mats, but in amazing style and with a great deal of fascinating historical detail.
Many thanks Bill, great demonstration!
Thanks also to Anne-Marie at The Crown PH, Upchurch, for a lovely Chilli and Curry, and some great beers.
